Rain Showers
We emerge from the restaurant. Silently side by side, surprised by the suddenness of the rain shower. I want him to take my hand, as we run through the rain to his car. I want him to kiss me in the humid heat of his car while the rain pours all around us. A stolen moment in the middle of the day. These thoughts flood my mind as we stand waiting for the rain to stop. I know there will be no stolen moments. No sweet kisses, no lingering touches. My dream for us is long past, a moment that has been shattered. For now we are just two people watching the rain.

Yes - rain is very good for this.
I remember wishing for just such an encounter prior to finding MM.
How depressing is it, when you're single, to find yourself in this situation only to see a couple running through the rain, laughing and holding hands.
Heartbreaking.
It is heartbreaking.
Rain, rain go away.
Come again another day.
Or as Miss Demeanor says,
"I can't stand the rain!"
Oh - the rain does not have to go away. I just need a man that will run with me in it.
Yes - it does rain quite a bit here in Houston. Perhaps why we are considered sub-tropical. Very hot, humid and lush. And it tends to be with umbrella unless I forget them, um, it in the car....
